Non esiste, a mia conoscenza, un sito ufficiale unico che mantenga un elenco internazionale di matematici, alcuni dei database esistenti permettono l'inserimento di una entry da parte di chi vuole essere aggiunto nell'elenco. In particolare questo di riferisce a Na-Net e al Who's On-line. E' chiaro che più persone di iscrivono, meglio funziona il servizio. Si rimanda anche a Find Addresses (Univ. Pennsilvania).

Attualmente la ricerca può essere fatta solamente su alcuni database, tra cui l'indirizzario UMI (Italia), soci SIMAI (Italia) White-pages di Na-net (Analisi Numerica, comprende i soci SIAM), la Combined Membership List dell'AMS. Chiunque avesse suggerimenti è pregato di farmelo sapere all'indirizzo: paolini@dmf.bs.unicatt.it

    The Combined Membership List (CML) includes the names and addresses of all persons who were members of the American Mathematical Society (AMS), Mathematical Association of America (MAA), Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics (SIAM), or American Mathematics Association of Two Year Colleges (AMATYC) as of the last update. The CML is updated monthly.

    Searches only the database for mathematicians

    Names, URLs, professions, email addresses, and keyword lists are all searched at once.

    Searching for the keyword `math' will display all entries in this database -- `math' matches everyone's profession. Since the database here is still quite small, this is a reasonable thing to do.

    AND operator
    The comma character ,
    You may combine any number of phrases with commas between them. The search will return only those entries matching all phrases so combined.
    OR operator
    The colon character :
    You may combine any number of phrases with colons between them. The search will return all entries matching any one of the phrases so combined.
    Mixing AND and OR operators is not supported.
